Some people prefer having their IPTV channels installed on their receiver boxes. Enigma 2 boxes enable their users to install IPTV channel lists through SSH terminal via a simple autoscript command.

To do that, the following are required:

-An Enigma 2 receiver box with full SSH access

-A .sh Autoscript

-Enough knowledge of how to use SSH Terminal

If you don`t know how to use SSH or unsure of which software to use for it, please read this guide.

As for this tutorial, we have a VU+ Solo2 box and want to install IPTV channel list on it. In this method, IPTV bouquet will be added right beside our current satellite bouquets and good thing is we will be able to treat them just like satellite channels e.g removing them or adding them into our favorite lists.

Once connected to your box via SSH, it`s time to execute the Autoscript command which should be provided by your IPTV provider. These scripts can be provided in two versions:

1- OE1.6 version which uses Python 2.6: It is advised to use this version on non-Dreambox receivers.

2- OE2.0 version which uses Python 2.7: It is advised to use this version on Dreambox receivers.

So for our VU+ Solo 2 of this example the command line should be like this:

wget -O /etc/enigma2/iptv.sh "http://myproviderdomain.com:20000/get.php?username=myusername&password=mypassword&type=enigma216_script&output=ts" && chmod 777 /etc/enigma2/iptv.sh && /etc/enigma2/iptv.sh

Connect to the box, Copy/paste this command line on SSH terminal and hit enter. It would take few seconds to install and then it should automatically reboot the box. When the box boots back up, you should be having a new bouquet right beside satellite bouquets which includes all IPTV streams your provider has enabled you to have.

Note 1: The first thing that comes to your mind is EPG. right? ;) This method does not give you EPG by itself and you need to use a program called E Channelizer to organize the bouquet, add EPG and Picons to your IPTV streams.

Note 2: If you know this method to be a headache, then ask your IPTV provider for another method on Enigma 2 boxes. Some may offer other methods like E2 plugin about which you can read more here.

That would be all. Let us know how you think of this installation method and don`t forget to share us on Social Media.
